The 69 Hour Film Challenge

LAUNCH: Thursday Sept. 30 2010, 9pm

DEADLINE: Sunday Oct. 3 2010, 6pm

The 69 Hour Film Challenge is a short film competition where teams of film makers have 69 hours to make a short film for The Hard Liquor and Porn Film Festival.

The Challenge is open to anyone anywhere in the world. The films must follow the same rules and regulations as the other films in the festival.

In order for a film to qualify for the competition it must be 5 minutes or less (including credits) and contain at least 3 items from a secret list of 10 items revealed in the first hour of the challenge. Example items include things like “whipped cream”, the word “funt” or a picture of Darryl. All team members must be 18 years of age or older. The film must not contain unlicensed music, company logos or merchandise. All teams are required to get signed release forms from everyone appearing in their films.

All teams must provide their own equipment, cast and crew. The average consumer has all the necessary equipment to shoot and edit a film. You can even make a movie with a mobile phone camera.

Do yourself, and us, a big favour by getting a digital still camera and taking lots of high resolution promo stills that the newspapers can use.

The challenge starts at 9pm on Thursday September 30, 2010. The secret list will be published on the Hard Liquor and Porn website.

All films must be recieved by 6pm Sunday October 3 2010.

Films may be delivered to our office or sent over the internet.

The best films from the 69 Hour Challenge will be screened at The Hard Liquor and Porn Film Festival in Toronto and Montreal. One film will be selected by a panel of judges to win The Best 69 Hour Film Award.
